Welcome to the website for the Special Needs Accommodation Centre
‘Providing quality accommodation in a stimulating environment for people with special needs’
SNAC, in a quiet, rural location in the corner of the Wash, near Boston, Lincolnshire comprises three semi-detached houses converted and refurbished to offer good quality group accommodation, in a safe, stimulating environment. Our aim is to provide learning opportunities and experiences that enhance people’s lives.
Although we have evolved as a centre specialising in holidays for special needs groups who visit with their carers, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome children and adults, able-bodied or with special needs, who wish to access some of the many activities and interests which a stay in our stimulating environment provides.
Families and carers respond warmly to Chris, our volunteer manageress, who has a lifetime experience of work with special needs youngsters and is flexible and knowing in providing precisely what our visitors require. Carers welcome the fact that the severe needs and/or extreme behaviour of their charges causes no offence and no problem.
The quietness of our location makes SNAC an ideal setting for people with learning difficulties or disabilities and it is regularly used by special schools and centres who work with people suffering from severe autistic spectrum disorders. Carers also have opportunities to relax knowing that some of the challenging behaviour that their charges present causes no disturbance to the general public, and is accepted within the safe environment that SNAC provides.
Visits can be tailored to meet your specific requirements - for day visits, week-ends or longer stays.
Chris, our manageress, lives on site and is happy to assist you to ensure that you have a successful and enjoyable stay. She welcomes you to a pre-visit so that you can see exactly what we offer before you book.
Local public houses, two in the village nearby, welcome our guests and serve excellent meals at sensible prices.
